Privacy Policy

When you send a service request, we pass your name, contact details, and the address where the work is needed to the local pros who match it. That is the whole purpose of the service, and it is the single most important thing to understand before you use it. We do not sell your information, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not share your details with anyone else.

When you send a service request. You give us this directly, and no account is required:

• Your name, and your email address
• Your phone number, if you provide one
• The street address and town where the work is needed
• What kind of work you need, how urgent it is, and anything you tell us about the job

If you apply to be listed as a pro. Your business name and contact details, the categories and towns you serve, your licence and insurance information where applicable, and any photos of your work that you upload. Photos you upload to your listing are publicly visible, by design.

Automatically. Ordinary server and security logs kept by our hosting provider, which include IP addresses. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking script. We do not use cookies for advertising. Sign-in cookies are used only for accounts that can sign in, which today means administrators.

Local pros. When your request matches a pro, we email that pro your request, including your name, your contact details, and the address where the work is needed. They need it to quote the job and reach you. We send it only to pros who are approved and active in your market, who offer the category you asked for, and who serve your town.

The person who runs your local market. They receive a copy of each request so they can make sure it was handled.

Once a pro has your details, their own handling of that information is up to them, and this policy does not govern it. If a pro contacts you in a way you do not want, tell us at hello@trusted-local.co and we will act on it, including removing them from the directory.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

We use a small number of established providers to run the service. They process data on our instructions only:

• Supabase, for the database and file storage, hosted in the United States
• Vercel, for website hosting and delivery
• Resend, for sending email notifications

We may add or change providers as the service grows, and will keep this list current.

We keep service requests for as long as we run the market they were sent to, because they are the record of what was asked for and who it went to. Pro listings are kept while the listing is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact address below, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

The database denies access by default, and the public has read access to nothing beyond active markets and approved pro listings. Pro email addresses, phone numbers, and licence numbers are deliberately excluded from what any visitor's browser can read. Service requests are not readable by the public at all. Access to the administration area is restricted to named administrators and is re-checked on every action rather than only at sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, but this one is built to deny first.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@trusted-local.co and we will respond. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy law, and we will honour those.

The most direct control you have is simply not sending a request: no account is created and nothing is collected until you choose to send one.

This service is meant for adults arranging work on a home. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to how requests are shared will be described plainly rather than buried.
